Premium Braided Fishing Line Built For Fighting Big Fish
What happens when a fish hits your bait and takes off? You reel down or set the hook, but what happens when you don't create enough pressure for your hook to pierce? You miss the fish of a lifetime! And that is enough to ruin your trip, and put you in a bad mood for days.
Instead, choose Direct Contact™ Braid by Catfish Sumo! A premium fishing line with NO STRETCH--which means you can successfully set the hook, confidently fight your fish, and tell your glorious story to everyone!
Direct Contact™ Braid is built with the highest quality fibers, tightly woven, and treated to avoid abrasions and cut through weeds.
Ready to fight confidently every time?
When you use low-quality line, you miss a lot of hooksets. And you break off more fish and tackle because your line has weak spots or degrades on your reel between trips. You shouldn't have to worry if your line will hold up when you're fighting a fish. That's an unnecessary distraction from what should be an enjoyable time.
Imagine how much more you'll be able to focus on enjoying the fight when you aren't worrying about the choice you made when you spooled up!
Anyone can wind some string on a spool and call it fishing line. But what makes a PREMIUM line better for fighting fish?
Walk in any sporting goods store and the wall of fishing line choices is enough to give anyone anxiety. Add in all the flashy brands that pop up online, and it can be hard to know what's trash or what works.
Braided line has been the choice of tournament anglers and big-fish-hunters for some time. But we took it to the next level with our custom-manufactured and treated braid.
No Stretch: There's no power in line that stretches beyond belief.
Advertisements that say "Look! It stretches instead of breaking!" is just code for "You won't be able to get a hook set with this elastic stuff!!"
Sensitivity AND Strength: The best of both worlds. Line that's strong enough to fight beasts, and also transmits even the most sensitive nibbles.
Abrasion Resistant: Direct Contact™ line has a custom coating that helps keep the fibers together, slide over abrasions, and cut through weeds.
No Memory: Tired of backlash, coils, and birdnests? Direct Contact™ braided fishing line has no memory. When you cast, it stays straight.
Small Diameter: 40lb Direct Contact™ Braid has a line diameter of 0.3mm. 80lb has a diameter of 0.5mm. These are about half of the diameter of the same test mono. This means you can fit MORE and STRONGER line on your same reel.

You might be saying to yourself...
"But I bet I can find cheaper line somewhere!"
How often do you want to re-spool when the cheaper stuff starts decomposing on your reel between trips?
Are you going to trust the cheaper stuff to handle fish after fish, or the battle when you hook into the fish of a lifetime?
When you pick up on your rod and feel a tank on the other end, fighting to be free, do you think you'll get a do-over if it breaks off?
"I wonder if it glows under black light."
The Bright White color Direct Contact™ braid glows brightly under black light.
Need Help Deciding Between Braid and Mono? Answer these questions to yourself and you'll be sure to pick the right option for sure:
1) Do you fish in deep water, or need to make long casts? If so, consider Direct Contact™ Braid. Braid is about half as thick as the same test mono. This means you can fit more (or stronger) line on your reel if you choose braid.
2) Are you worried about not having stretch in your line? It's not likely that a fish will be able to take off with 40lb or 80lb braid and immediately snap it off. But if you would like a slight bit of shock protection, choose . It's still designed to reduce stretch compared to other options, but it will help absorb shock of an instant strong strike. Alternatively, use a mono leader like for extra protection.
3) Do you need to thread your line through tiny holes? Mono can be a little stiffer which can help threading your line. Though braid is thinner and can fit through smaller holes.
