Using the same tech as Arc-teryx's groundbreaking harnesses, the webbing belt is spread across the entire surface area of the waist belt creating a uniform and wide surface area taking your weight. This means that there is less "cutting into your skin" as the pressure point is reduced (due to the broad surface area).
This means that there is no need to use excessive foam in an attempt to create a "cushion", which means less bulk (packs smaller) and more comfort!
